We stopped drawing other companies' logos.

Customer outcome

The small icons that point to Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, X, YouTube, Bluesky, Facebook and LinkedIn were drawn by us. They matched each other, and none of those companies allow it. We replaced every one with the platform's own published mark: black on light ground, white on dark, and Pinterest's red and Facebook's blue where those companies require their color.

Who it serves

You, when you tap an icon and expect it to be what it looks like. And the platforms, whose marks belong to them.

Cost or trade-off

The row is less uniform than the drawn version. Nine companies' marks do not share one design, and we stopped pretending they do.

Still not right

Videos rendered before this change still show the drawn marks in their closing frame. They will be rendered again, not patched.

Denominator

9 platform marks replaced with 15 official files.
